Where to Find the Setting

Your email address is managed from your Account Settings. To get there, log in to your dashboard and look for the Account or Profile icon in the top navigation or sidebar. From Account Settings, select the Profile or Personal Information section — your current email address will be listed there with an option to edit it.

How to Change Your Email Address

Follow these steps to update the email address associated with your account:

  1. 1
    Go to Account Settings

Log in and navigate to Account Settings from your dashboard. Select the Profile section.

  2. 2
    Click "Change Email"

Locate your current email address and click the Change Email link or edit icon next to it.

  3. 3
    Enter your new email address

Type the new email address carefully. Double-check for typos before proceeding — an incorrect address can lock you out of the verification step.

  4. 4
    Confirm with your security PIN

Because email changes are a sensitive account action, you will be prompted to enter your 6-digit security PIN to authorize the change.

  5. 5
Check your new inbox for a verification email

A verification link is sent to your new email address. Click that link to confirm you own the address. Until verified, the change is not fully applied.

Re-Verification After Changing Email

After submitting a new email address, TrackMyDebtor sends a verification link to that new address. This step is required before the email change takes full effect.

During the transition period — after you request the change but before you click the verification link — your account continues to function normally. You can still log in using your previous (current) email address. The new address does not become your login email until you verify it.

Sweep alert digests and billing receipts are sent to your current verified email address at all times. Once you verify the new address, all future communications will go there.

Important

If you enter a typo'd email address, the verification email will go to an address you don't control. If this happens, contact Support@TrackMyDebtor.com and we can cancel the pending change so you can try again.

Didn't Receive the Verification Email?

If you don't see the verification email within a few minutes of requesting the change:

  • Check your spam or junk folder. Verification emails from new senders sometimes get filtered.
  • Confirm the address you entered is correct. Go back to Account Settings to check what new email is pending verification.
  • Use the resend option. In Account Settings, there should be an option to resend the verification link to the pending address.
  • Wait a few minutes. Email delivery can occasionally be delayed by a few minutes depending on your mail provider.
  • Contact support at Support@TrackMyDebtor.com if none of the above resolves it.

What Your Email Is Used For

Your verified email address is used for the following:

  • Login — you sign in to TrackMyDebtor using your email and password
  • Sweep alert digests — summary emails of new findings from your debtor sweeps
  • Billing receipts — subscription invoices and payment confirmations
  • Account security notices — PIN reset links, password reset links, and other security emails

All of these use your current verified email. Until you click the verification link for a new address, your old address remains the active one for all communications.

Tip

After verifying your new email address, send a test message to yourself or check that your dashboard shows the updated address before closing your old inbox or account.
