The Password Reset Flow — Step by Step
Password resets are handled entirely through your email address. No support interaction is required for a standard reset.
-
1Go to the login page
Visit trackmydebtor.com/login. Below the login form, click "Forgot password?"
-
2Enter your account email address
Type the email address you used to sign up. Click Send Reset Link. The system will confirm that a message has been sent — this confirmation appears regardless of whether the email is registered, to protect account privacy.
-
3Check your inbox
Open the email from TrackMyDebtor.com with the subject line about your password reset. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
-
4Click the reset link
Click the Reset My Password button or link in the email. This opens a secure page where you can set your new password. Reset links expire after 1 hour — if you wait longer, you'll need to request a new one.
-
5Set your new password
Enter your new password and confirm it. Click Reset Password. You'll be redirected to the login page.
-
6Log in with your new password
Sign in normally at trackmydebtor.com/login using your email address and the new password you just set.
Password reset links expire after 1 hour. If you click an expired link, you'll see an error message. Simply return to the login page and request a fresh link — there's no limit on how many times you can request one.
Didn't Receive the Reset Email?
If the reset email hasn't arrived after a few minutes, work through these steps in order:
- Check spam and junk folders. Email filters sometimes misclassify transactional emails. Search for "TrackMyDebtor" in your spam folder.
- Verify you entered the correct email address. Try requesting a reset again, paying careful attention to the address you type. A single typo means the email goes to the wrong inbox.
- Wait a few minutes. Email delivery can be delayed by up to 5–10 minutes depending on your mail provider's queue.
- Check if your email provider is blocking the domain. Some corporate email systems have aggressive spam filtering. Try from a personal email address if possible.
- Contact support at Support@TrackMyDebtor.com if you've tried all of the above and still haven't received the email.
The Reset Link Says "Expired"
This means more than 1 hour passed between when you requested the reset and when you clicked the link. Reset links are single-use and time-limited for security reasons.
To fix this: go back to trackmydebtor.com/login, click "Forgot password?" again, and request a fresh link. Complete the reset promptly after clicking the new link.
Don't Know Which Email You Used?
If you're unsure which email address you registered with, contact us at Support@TrackMyDebtor.com. Provide any alternate email addresses you may have used and some identifying information (such as the debtor name or state you monitor). Our team can verify ownership and help you regain access.
What Happens After a Password Reset
A password reset only affects your login credential. Everything else on your account remains completely untouched:
- Your security PIN is unchanged. Password reset and PIN reset are entirely separate systems. You will still use the same PIN for gated actions after resetting your password.
- Your debtors are untouched. All debtor records, sweep history, and alert data are preserved.
- Your subscription continues. There is no effect on your billing or monitoring plan.
- Your session is established fresh. After logging in with the new password, you have a normal active session.
Password Reset vs. PIN Reset
These are two separate processes that serve different purposes:
- Password reset — used when you can't log in to your account at all. Resets via an email link from the login page.
- PIN reset — used when you're logged in but can't complete a PIN-gated action because you've forgotten your 6-digit PIN. Requires email verification while already authenticated.
If your issue is a forgotten PIN (not a forgotten password), see Resetting Your PIN instead.
