What Is the Security PIN?

The security PIN is a 6-digit numeric code that acts as a second authentication layer for your TrackMyDebtor.com account. While your password secures your login, the PIN is required for actions that are especially sensitive — changes that could affect what you're monitoring, how you're billed, or the security of your account itself.

Think of it like a bank card PIN. Your password gets you into the account; your PIN authorizes the transactions that matter most.

When Is the PIN Required?

You'll be prompted to enter your PIN when performing the following actions:

Billing changes
Updating your payment method or subscription plan
Adding debtors
Enrolling a new debtor in your monitoring account
Full reports
Accessing complete debtor profile and report details
Account settings
Changing your email address, password, or security PIN

This means even if someone obtains your account password, they cannot make consequential changes without your PIN.

How to Set Your PIN

You'll be prompted to set your PIN as part of the account setup process after email verification. If you skipped it or need to set it later, here's how:

  1. 1
    Log in to your account

Go to trackmydebtor.com/login and sign in with your email and password.

  2. 2
    Open Account Settings

Click the Account icon or navigate to Settings in your dashboard. Look for the Security section.

  3. 3
    Select "Set Security PIN"

Click Set PIN (or "Change PIN" if you're updating an existing one). You may be prompted to confirm your password first.

  4. 4
Enter and confirm your 6-digit PIN

Type your chosen 6-digit numeric PIN, then enter it a second time to confirm. The two entries must match exactly.

  5. 5
    Save

Click Save PIN. Your PIN is now active and will be required for the sensitive actions listed above.

Choosing a Strong PIN

Your PIN should be something you can remember but can't be easily guessed by someone who knows you. Here's a quick guide:

Good PIN choices
  • Random 6-digit combinations
  • Non-obvious personal numbers
  • PINs stored in a password manager
  • Combinations unrelated to public info
Avoid these
  • 123456 or 000000
  • Your birth year or birthday
  • Your phone number
  • Repeating digits (111111)
Tip

If you use a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden, etc.), store your PIN there along with your account password. This way you never have to rely on memory alone.

Forgot Your PIN?

Unlike your password, there is no self-service PIN reset flow — this is intentional. A self-service PIN reset would undermine the security layer the PIN provides.

To reset your PIN, contact support at Support@TrackMyDebtor.com. Our team will verify your identity through your account email and reset your PIN access. Response time is typically within one business day.
