Where to Find Your Invoices

All invoices are stored in the Stripe Customer Portal. To access them:

  1. Go to Account Settings
Log in to your dashboard at /login and navigate to Account Settings.
  2. Click "Manage Billing"
This opens the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab.
  3. Navigate to the Invoices section
In the Stripe Customer Portal, scroll to the Invoice History section. All past invoices are listed here in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

Stripe also sends a receipt email to your account email address after each successful charge. The email includes a link to view and download the invoice directly.

Field-by-Field Explanation

Invoice Field What It Means
Invoice number A unique identifier (e.g., TMD-2026-001 or Stripe's own format like IN-1234). Include this number when contacting support about a specific charge.
Invoice date The date the invoice was generated and the charge was collected — this is your renewal date and the start of your new billing period.
Billing period The date range this invoice covers. For example, "May 8 – Jun 8" means this invoice is for the monitoring period starting May 8 and ending June 8.
Plan The subscription tier active for this billing period — Individual ($6.99/mo, 1 debtor), Pro ($29.99/mo, up to 5 debtors), or Enterprise (custom).
Line total The flat monthly rate for your plan. No per-debtor math — your plan price is the same regardless of how many debtors you're actively monitoring (up to your plan's limit).
Tax Tax may apply depending on your billing address and jurisdiction. Stripe calculates applicable tax automatically where required. The invoice shows the tax amount or $0.00 if none applies.
Amount charged The total collected from your payment method, including any applicable tax.
Payment method The last four digits of the card (or payment method type) charged. Useful for confirming which card was used for a specific period.

Downloading Your Invoice as PDF

Each invoice in the Stripe Customer Portal includes a download link. To download a PDF:

  • Open the Stripe Customer Portal (Account Settings → Manage Billing)
  • Locate the invoice in the Invoice History section
  • Click the PDF or Download button next to the invoice

The PDF version includes all fields shown above plus your billing address, Stripe's VAT/tax ID if applicable, and the TrackMyDebtor.com company details. It is suitable for accounting and expense reporting purposes.

Sharing Invoices with Accounting

The simplest method for sharing with your bookkeeper or accounting team is to forward the Stripe receipt email (sent after each successful charge) — it includes a direct link to the hosted invoice page and a PDF download. Alternatively, download the PDF from the Customer Portal and attach it to your expense records.

If your organization requires invoices addressed to a specific entity name or address, ensure your billing details in the Stripe Customer Portal reflect the correct information. Stripe uses the billing name and address on file to populate the invoice header.

Tax Considerations

Tax treatment of SaaS subscriptions varies by jurisdiction and entity type. TrackMyDebtor.com does not provide tax advice. Stripe calculates and collects applicable sales tax or VAT based on your billing address and local requirements.

If you believe tax has been incorrectly applied, or if you need to provide a tax exemption certificate, contact Support@TrackMyDebtor.com with your certificate and we will coordinate with Stripe to update your account accordingly.

Not tax advice

The tax information in this article is general in nature. Consult your accountant or tax advisor regarding the deductibility of SaaS subscription costs and the applicable tax treatment for your specific situation.

What to Do If You See an Unexpected Charge

If an invoice amount appears higher than expected, check the following before contacting support:

  • Seat count — compare the quantity on the invoice to the number of debtors currently in Active status. A higher-than-expected seat count usually means a debtor was resumed or added earlier in the billing cycle that you may have forgotten about.
  • Tax — if tax appears for the first time, it may reflect a change in your billing address or a new tax requirement in your jurisdiction.

If after reviewing you still believe there is an error, contact us at Support@TrackMyDebtor.com and include the invoice number. We will investigate and coordinate with Stripe to resolve any billing discrepancy.

Tip

Set a calendar reminder for a few days before your renewal date each month to review your active debtor count. This lets you pause any debtors you no longer need to monitor before the billing snapshot is taken, ensuring the next invoice reflects your intended seat count.
